A new film commission

Beacon in partnership with East Lindsey District Council has commissioned artist Melissa Bliss to respond to her residency in Mablethorpe in Lincolnshire. She has created a film made with four residents of Mablethorpe which was screened at Leicester Children's Holiday Centre in Mablethorpe.

This project is supported by Arts Council England, East Lindsey District Council and the Aroma Company.

BEACON
Beacon is a visual art organisation with charity status based in Lincolnshire. It works nationally and internationally. Beacon is an invited partner for the UK Black/North SEAS project.

INTERCULT NORTH SEAS FESTIVAL
SEAS is an arts initiative which is taking place around the Black and North Sea regions during 2008 and 2009. Skegness, the only UK venue, will be one of the 10 locations hosting this exciting project from 25 September to 3 October 2009. The Skegness International brochure can be downloaded here.
